Open Participatory Leadership
Guidelines for watching / joining our meetings
At Creating the Future, all strategy meetings, as well as our board meetings, are streamed live via our blog. Many people watch our meetings to discover alternative approaches to a "same old topic." Others watch to witness Catalytic Thinking in action. Those who choose to participate inside the meeting have the additional goal of furthering Creating the Future's work.
These meetings are not "shows" we put on, but real working meetings, just as you would find in any organization. As such, meetings are not intended as a demonstration of perfection, but are instead real people hashing through real work situations towards the goal of taking action to accomplish our mission. We just happen to be doing that work out in the open.
The following guidelines will help you determine the best way for you to be part of the conversation. Using these guidelines, you will get the most out of your participation, while providing the best possible input for accomplishing Creating the Future's mission.
