Faculty Development in Practice: Developing a Flash Class (Meeting # 8)

Between the holidays and year-end stuff, the Faculty Development Team is just now picking up after Meeting #7 way back in early December (the initial Meeting #8 was canceled after 30 minutes or so, as so few people were able to be there).

The team's task: Develop a "small bite" introduction to Community Impact Planning – a FlashClass (20-30 minute recorded webinar, with post-class handouts and Q&A via our Facebook page), a blog post, a 3 minute video.

The thought process is the same, regardless.

  1. Meet people where they are, with what they think they need
  2. Open the door to their highest potential regarding planning, rooted in the Continuum of Potential

The team spent the entirety of Meeting #7 defining where people are, so we can meet them there! You'll find that meeting here.

Today's meeting will move forward from there, asking

  • What can planning make possible for individuals at each stage along the continuum?
  • What will they need to know / believe / understand / feel, to be ready to take that next step?

Join us today as we explore what that process looks like in real time, as we develop the class right here now!

Post-meeting: The notes from this meeting are attached here in pdf format.

To watch the meeting, the video will appear just below this post (if it is not there immediately on the hour, wait a few moments. We may just be running a bit late.) To participate via Twitter, tweet using the hashtag #CTFuture.
