What actually creates social change?

Our first podcast interview of this new year is filled with ideas and inspiration from one of the most dedicated and inspiring leaders we know. Yodit Mesfin Johnson is the CEO of Nonprofit Enterprise at Work (NEW), a movement support organization in southeast Michigan.

In this conversation, Yodit shares perspectives gained over a lifetime of activism. From her travels throughout East Africa to her work on the ground in the U.S., Yodit’s work centers on caring for the people who are creating the change. What does it look like if the work we all do is rooted in caring for each other?

We know you will learn a ton from the wisdom and observations Yodit shares in this podcast. You’ll find her insights at this link.

And while you’re there, browse around! You’ll find a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration among all our guests. That is because our goal in producing this podcast is to give you insights, approaches, and tools for creating more transformational change in your community.

So please share this podcast with friends and colleagues. And if this episode gets you thinking, we hope you will subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts as we continue to bring together thought leaders to address the question, “What actually creates change?”
