How to activate our collective POWER
When life gets hard, we so often look for a savior who will make it all okay. We crave a strong leader – a Martin Luther King, a Malcolm X or Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela.
Of course change is never the result of just one person, but of ALL the people coming together. What we need right now isn’t the next MLK or Gandhi. What we need is all of us.
What, then, does it take to build upon and sustain that collective energy?
That is what Meghan Cummings addresses in our latest edition of the Creating the Future podcast. In example after example, Meghan shows the possibility within our collective power. This isn’t about theory or platitudes; it is all about the practical side of building collective strength.
- Are we creating spaces for people in community to come together and build trust?
- Spaces of shared joy?
- Spaces where people’s voices are heard and where their ideas are turned into reality?
From building on the strengths of women in a neighborhood, to the strengths of advocates for fair wages in a community, to building relationships with people you disagree with – this conversation feels even more pertinent, given the recent attacks against nonprofits in the U.S.
This is one conversation you do not want to miss!
