To infuse the spirit of Collective Enoughness into GivingTuesday, Creating the Future is hosting an online conversation on November 29th at 2pm PT / 5pm ET – with activists who cross sectors and boundaries. Steve Wright and Ifeoma Aduba will join Creating the Future co-directors Hildy Gottlieb and Rebecca Hurd, to share their experiences with Collective Enoughness.

Among the questions we’ll be exploring…

  • What does Collective Enoughness look like in action?
  • What does it mean to share resources? How is that different from collaboration?
  • Do businesses really share resources with each other? Do nonprofit / community benefit orgs really share?
  • And most importantly, what does it make possible when a group’s culture is one of Collective Enoughness? What are they able to accomplish when they see life through that lens?

The conversation will be rooted in the 3 questions at the core of Catalytic Thinking *:

  • What do we really want?
  • What can we accomplish together that none of us can accomplish on our own?
  • What do we have together?

  1. the technology is killing this broadcast…..esp the audio and echo…I would like to know the “how” of what each of you do besides potlucks…somehow that just doesn’t resonate with me at this point in time when, as Steve so aptly put it, we must deal with the issue of power and its mis-use at the highest levels of our own, gulp, government.

We were just as frustrated with the audio as you were. While we were able to address the sudden echo by muting our mics, using Google/YouTube for the streaming leaves us somewhat at their mercy. Thanks for bearing with us! Hildy
