Introduction to Catalytic Thinking

Re-imagining Plans, Goals, and Strategies
to Create What is Possible - a Better Future than our Past

youtube-video-thumbnail

Are your plans, strategies, and decisions creating visionary results?

•  Group decisions…
•  Individual decisions…
•  Ideas, Plans, and Strategies…
•  Personal goals, Organizational goals, Business goals, Community goals…

To achieve visionary results,
You must ask visionary questions.

Catalytic Thinking is a framework of Questions that will aim you towards the best possible outcomes, creating what is possible.

Why Questions?

Because decisions and plans are actually the answers to QUESTIONS!

• If you've ever felt like no matter what you try, nothing will ever change…
• If you are curious why some people are able to accomplish the seemingly impossible…
• If you wonder why ideas and strategies you thought were spot on lead to less-than-great results…

It’s not you. It’s the questions we’ve all been taught to ask.

Changing those questions will change your decisions – and your results!

What is this Webinar?
Who is it for?

This webinar is for anyone looking for more consistently powerful results from the decisions and plans you make - in your community organization, your government office, your neighborhood, your business - or your life. If you are looking to create what is possible rather than simply reacting to problems, this webinar is for you.

The webinar will introduce you to Catalytic Thinking, the cause-and-effect framework that provides direct access to your brain’s higher functions of wisdom and creativity, creating a step-by-step path towards the future you want. (Curious about how it works? Watch this short video.)

First you will learn the science behind making visionary decisions and plans.

Then you'll be guided through a series of questions that lead to the best possible results.

Through all the resources in this unique webinar, you will begin to see in a whole new way. And you will immediately begin asking different questions, to create dramatically different results.

All through a combination of self-paced and live interactive learning...

Watch the Video Lessons, read the Study Guide, and use the practice worksheets to think about how the lessons apply to your own situations
• Bring your questions and reflections to the live, interactive Q&A discussion session
• AFTER the session, your questions will be answered FOREVER - yes, really!

• How to move from reacting to creating (and how many of your decisions are more reactive than you think)…

• What brain science tells us about visionary planning and decision-making...

• The science and mathematics of powerful decision-making (yes, mathematics!)…

• The simple question that will make your plans and strategies more inclusive...

• Why huge programs like the War on Poverty / the War on Terror / the War on Drugs could never create the results we really want (and what will create those results)…

The real cause of unintended consequences – and what you can do to prevent many of them…

• Why so many planning conversations land in the weeds – and how to keep conversations creative, energized, and moving forward

How to take control of cause-and-effect (vs. being whipsawed by circumstances)

Why people don’t buck systems, even when the systems make no sense

• What leads to discussions that build consensus, agreement and energy, building upon the wisdom of everyone in the room…

• How to set the stage for powerful results to naturally fall into place

How It Works (And What this Learning Opportunity Includes)...

This webinar uses a "flipped classroom" approach - providing the content ahead of time, so that you have time to absorb the material at your own pace. We find this makes the live portion of the webinar far more effective, as you have slow time to think about the material and formulate questions. The content includes everything listed below.

Then on February 28, we will get together for a full 2 hours of Q&A and discussion, answering your questions about applying Catalytic Thinking directly to your own work - and your life! The live portion will be recorded and provided to you in both video and audio-only, in the event you'd like to listen while you work out or during your commute.

After the webinar, you will have the open invitation to ask Hildy any quick questions that arise while you are putting what you learned into practice. And that invitation extends FOREVER!

Here's what you'll get...

• 1 hour of video classes to watch at your own pace.
• Study Guide with worksheets and copies of key slides from the video presentation, to help embed your learning, while you watch or as a “quiz” after you’ve finished.

After watching the videos and working with the worksheets, a 2-hour live Q&A session for discussion, stories, reflections, and exploring what is possible for applying Catalytic Thinking to your own life and work. The live discussion will be recorded in both video and audio, for you to listen / watch again.

The live discussion will happen on February 14, 2023 at 11am Eastern time / 10am Central time / 9am Mountain time / 8am Pacific time.

The instructors will answer any question that can be answered in just a few minutes, to help as you implement what you learned AFTER the session.
