Building Stable Resources in Tough Economic Times

A Strength-based Approach to Finding Resources
that are Hiding in Plain Sight

A Consultants-only webinar

Let's be honest:
While funding was never easy, the economy and other woes have made the quest for funding even more difficult. Relying on funding sources that feel less and less reliable has a lot of people worried.

There is an alternative you can be adding to your consulting toolbox. It's not about competing better for scarce resources.

It's about seeing what clients already have to build upon - resources that are hiding in plain sight - that no one can take away from them.

Between threats to government funding and threats to clamp down on foundations...

Between the uncertainty of the stock market and the overall uncertainty of these politically unsettling times...

Nonprofits need approaches to funding that reduce their dependency on forces they cannot control.

  • Approaches they can try in small steps - with BIG impact - while they're waiting for other resourcing efforts to bear fruit...
  • Approaches that are rooted in the things that bring stability to EVERYTHING in our lives...
  • Strength-based approaches for building resources, that align with the strength-based approaches organizations use in their communities...

What is this Webinar? Who is it for?

June 23, 2026

This webinar is for consultants who want to help their clients find more consistent, stable, and sustainable resources for their projects and programs.

The class will introduce you to a strength-based approach to resources, identifying resources that organizations already have to build upon. Those resources are hiding in plain sight, waiting for leaders to move beyond scarcity, to see the power they already have.

This is the power of Collective Enoughness, the economic principle that "together we have everything we need."

The class will briefly review the brain science and economics of what happens when we use fundraising approaches that reinforce scarcity. It will then share approaches that create resource streams rooted in strength and enoughness.

From there, the class will show how to immediately put that theory into practice.

Seeing resources in a whole new way, you will immediately begin identifying new sources of resources for whatever your clients want to do.

And importantly, you will be able to use these same approaches
to strengthen the business side of your consulting practice!

What You'll Learn:

June 23, 2026

  • Aha’s that will allow you to retrain your brain, to see resources that have been there all along
  • Steps folks can take right now, to immediately find new resources for anything they are trying to accomplish - things they can do while they're waiting for grants to be approved or for donors to make decisions.
  • The brain science and economics of WHY traditional approaches keep people on the fundraising hamster wheel (and what WILL get folks off that vicious cycle).
  • How to identify assets and resources organizations already have to build upon - even if they think "we've got nothing"
  • How small changes to what organizations are currently doing can create big results
  • Why scarcity, competition, and dependency on government and foundation grants PREVENT us from accessing our creativity and wisdom (hint: it's all rooted in brain science!)
  • Real-world examples folks can use as a model for their own efforts
  • How to turn “things you can try” into systems that create repeatable results
  • Bust the myths of sustainability we've all been taught - and learn what really does sustain nonprofit work
  • How sharing resources helps build community while building resources
  • And as a BONUS: Approaches YOU can use to build more steady cash flow for your consulting business!
  • And much more!

I love this perspective so much. I’m meeting with someone this afternoon who has an idea for a project, and now I have so many ideas I want to share with her. Thank you so much!

I have so many ideas, but I’ve been stopped by not knowing how or where to begin. This class gave me the inspiration to start talking to people. And who knows where that path will lead me!

How It Works (And What this Learning Opportunity Includes)...

This webinar uses a "flipped classroom" approach - providing the content ahead of time, so that you have time to absorb the material at your own pace. We find this makes the live portion of the webinar far more effective, as you have slow time to think about the material and formulate questions at your own pace. The content includes everything listed below.

Then on June 10, we will get together for a full 2 hours of Q&A and discussion, answering your questions about applying the material directly to your own work. The live portion will be recorded and provided to you in both video and audio-only, in the event you'd like to listen while you work out or during your commute.

After the webinar, you will have the open invitation to ask our faculty any quick questions that arise while you are putting what you learned into practice. And that invitation extends FOREVER!

Here's what you'll get...
