The Catalytic Thinking Framework is a series of 7 questions that create what is possible in any situation. These questions are rooted in inclusion, possibility, and strength – the key components for success in any endeavor to create a better world.
Radical Inclusion
Question 1:
Who will be affected by whatever we are considering? What would it take for them to (at the least) participate in the decision, or (at best) lead the direction we take?
Question 2:
For all those people, what do they aspire to? What strengths do they have to build upon? What do they value – what is important to them?
Radical Possibility
Question 3:
What is the best possible outcome for all those individuals and groups who will be affected?
Question 4:
What conditions would lead to that best possible outcome?
Question 5:
What actions will we take, to create those conditions for success?
Radical Strength
Question 6:
What do we need internally in order to take those actions?
Question 7:
What do we have to build upon, to ensure we have what we need?
Any one of these questions is powerful on its own. Together, though, they add rocket fuel to whatever you are hoping to accomplish.
Try asking these questions the next time you have a decision to make. And let us know what you discover!
