Creating the Future eJournal
August 14, 2017
After the incidents in Virginia this weekend, and the conversations that have been occurring across the U.S. and the whole world, we are taking a break from our normal eJournal.

We just wanted to share this piece with you - 3 Questions to Move from Helplessness to Action in Troubling Times.

Hildy penned this last year, after Philando Castile was killed by a police officer in front of his girlfriend and her 4-year- old daughter. We didn’t think there could be a circumstance where it would feel even more applicable. We now know that was wishful thinking.

In our weekly meeting this morning, our team members shared that Catalytic Thinking is providing them with practical hope in the face of hopelessness. It is in that spirit that we are sharing this with you.

It is our hope that you will step forward and take action. The world needs all of us to be bringing out the best in each other, right now, and that begins with you.

If you have no idea where to even start, that’s what this article is for. We hope you find it helpful. And we hope you get out there and take that first step.

If you’re seeking a welcoming place to practice bringing out the best in yourself and those around you, join the Catalytic Thinking in Action community on Facebook - a welcoming place where you can ask questions and learn from people like you who are experimenting with these practices. We look forward to seeing you there!

Creating
the Future
is a collection of people around the world, supporting each other in a grand experiment.

The experiment:
To determine how much better the world could be if the questions we ask in our day to day lives are bringing out the best in each other.

If everyone, everywhere, is bringing out the best in every person they encounter – and if the systems that guide our behaviors are built to bring out the best in all of us - how much closer will we all be to a healthy, humane world that works for all of us?
