Our Holiday Gifts to You, to Bring Out Your Best
We
have two gifts for you this holiday season. They are both the result of

can try right now, to infuse joy into your everyday encounters during

If you didn’t get last week’s eJournal and you’d like to experiment with bringing out the best in people, here are some things to try:
- In stores, try asking the cashier, “What has been the best thing about your day so far?”
- At holiday parties, when
you meet new people, try asking, “What are you most excited about in
life these days?” (Instead of asking, “So, what do you do?”)
- At family gatherings, instead
of arguing politics, try asking and listening, NOT so you can argue
back, but to know the person, not just their positions. “Uncle Harry,
how did you meet Aunt Jane?” or “Cousin Susan, what led you to choose
nursing as a career? Did you always want to be a nurse?” Get to know
the person behind the persona.
It’s easy to bring
out the best in other people, because deep down we all want to be
appreciated and listened to. This holiday season, give it a try. And
